Incase y'all haven't seen it yet, the music video for El Mañana is up on www.gorillaz.com in the cinema. Watch it, when you have the chance.
Overall, I'm pretty proud of how this video came out. Noodle did a great job settin' the scene for it, and I think it just added to the overall..Uh, how do I say this? Dark beauty of the song. If she wasn't such a greak gutairist, that girl would be a great actor.

Sorry for not updating sooner, guys. I'll really try to keep this thing regularly updated, a'ight?
Well, shit's been really busy around Kong, recently. Lately we've been helping Noodle pack away some of her things into boxes, and I've been getting things ready for Paula's birthday.
(I'm giving her a stuffed badger- I accidentally let it loose once, and It...Uh, kinda' got into 2D's room. Aww man, what a mess.)
I still need to stuff the thing, too.
Man, her birthday's only in a couple days, too.
Ugh, c'mon Russ, pick up the pace.
Man, I'm so sleepy lately.
(And if anyone asks, I only fell asleep during the brits because I stayed up late the night before. Fo'shizzle.) |

A'ight, time for me to update.
Well, we'd been working very hard for our preformance at the Grammy's these past days, so I'm glad to have some chill time now that it's over, you know?
However, I'm proud of our 5 Grammy nominations. That amount is just flippin' insane. Not to mention, coming home with one of the awards is really a big accomplishment for all of us, hip-hop masterminds De La Soul included. Really, without them, we wouldn't have gotten this award.
Oh. Alot of people have been asking as to why I was falling asleep during our preformance here's the reason: When we got on, it was about 2 in the morning UK time and I was dead-beat tired. Not to mention I was up all night awake rehearsing to make sure I got it down correctly.
I'd make a longer journal, but 2D, Noodle and I are going to have our usual movie marathon. I think we're watching some anime movie called Revolutionary Girl Utena or something like that.

Oh man, 33 years old?
I'm only 6 years away from being as old as Murdoc. Oh man, how time flies.
The party was great. We kind of spent the entire time goofing around, which involved carelessly (Or, in 2D, Murdoc and Paula's case, drunkingly,) flinging peices of chocolate cake at one another. I mangaged to save a layer of it, however, so it's all cool.
Noodle made me a custom framed painting that Paula did, and It looks great. I'm currently looking for a place to hang it up, either in my room or in the hall. To add to that, Paula also got me a new set of drumsticks to replace the ones that Murdoc 'took hostage' of. Pfft.
2D also got me this game for my PS2 called "Taiko Drum Master" that was imported from Japan. It's fun once you get the hang of it, but..Uh, I kind of rely on Noodle to translate some things.
Then, near the end of the day Mom and Dad called up and wished me a happy birthday. They told me that their going to be sending me some of my old studd from home over to Kong as a preasent. Sweet.
Also, once again, thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. I really appreciate it. |

Well, I got 4 more days before I turn a year older.

Well, atleast my birthday should be fun. I know Paula is coming over for the celebration, and knowing her, will probably chill around Kong for a couple days too. Not that I'm complaining or anything; it'll be nice to have company over.

Well, today 'D and I "made the switch". I can't describe it as good as he can, so if you want to read about it go look at his journal.
I have bruises on my legs and arms though. Man, Noodle, you hit hard.
And people think we don't get along. Well, actually, nobody gets along with Murdoc but that goes without saying.
By the way, we bought a new tea kettle today, and you'll never guess what the brand-name is.
I'm really beginning to wonder if I was named after a set of kitchen aplliances. |

I was feeling pretty bad all day, which Is why I just kinda stayed in my room working on Taxidermy. Too much thinkin', y'know? It's left me hungry, so I'm going to go downstairs and make myself a sandwitch.
But hey, listen to this. I think I'm on the verge of an epiphany. I can just feel it coming, and It's left me feelin'..Well, thoughtfull.

Well, guess what brotha' is back?
I arrived back at Kong sometime this morning, and at the moment I'm dead tired, since I didn't get any sleep on the plane. I was, uh, too busy playing Zelda on the little mini TV things that they had on the Virgin Airline's plane.
I'm kinda gonna miss NY, but It's still nice to be back here at Kong, y'know?
Oh, and before all of you guys start asking, 2D got me an Xbox 360! I guess he felt kinda' guilty about that incident. Hell though, It was nice of him to do that.
Paula also got me a book, and I'm reading it now. Thanks, P.
And Noodle made me a little plush version of Del, and the card attached to it was just like, touching, man. I'm suprised she's only 13, considering she has the wisdom of a 80 year old.
Speaking of Del, I went to go visit him and my other friends on christmas. I think I stayed there for like, 4 hours. I think I went a bit mental for a bit, too, because I started thinking about digging up their graves.
I'm kinda happy I didn't do that. Ha.
Anyways, I think I'm going to hit the sack. I'm about to fall asleep on the keyboard. |

So, I arrived in New York today to visit my parents for the holidays. It's nice being back home in a more, uh. Stable mental state, y'know?
As well, when I got here, there was a present from 'D and Noodle under the tree. Apparently they shipped it over here for christmas. Thanks, y'guys. I'm sure I'm going to love whatever y'all got me.
..Man,it brings back memories sittin' here in my room. This was where I used to love being when I was little; I even have that stupid train-set thing hanging over my bed that I got when I was five. I remember Del always wanted it, too. Lots of jelousy for that train set, y'dig? He even once tried to steal it when I was sleeping! Haha.
I wonder if it still works?

In other news, me and 2D went all the way down to the movie theater to go see Harry Potter with Noodle. Well, actually, 2D went to go see King Kong, and I watched Narnia with Noods', but whatever.
Then, on our way back, we stopped by an arcade, and I just kinda spent the entire time watchin' 2D and Noodle play some zombie-shooter game called "House Of The Dead". Noodle also made me try out some game called Dance Dance Revolution, which this brotha' failed at. Completely.
Man, its freezing up here. I should go turn on the fireplace.
By the way, does anyone have any good soup recipies? I kinda feel like eatin' soup, but all the recipies I find are rubbish.

So I'm walkin' on the way to D's room to ask him about where the hell my Xbox 360 went, and there it is; on the floor, covered in blood and drool.
Man, this place is full of things I don't even want to know about. Sick vibrations, you know? Like, the other night I'm walkin' back from the bathroom, (which, in my opinion, needs to be heavily renovated. Unlike a certain person in the band, I personally don't like taking showers in something thats going to make me smell like shit.) and this disemobodied heads' just hangin' from the ceiling in the middle of the hallway. The only good thing about this hell-hole is that it's a perfect place to house four people while still having enough room to put in a studio, among other things.
And it has pretty good heatin'.
Man, this song has such a great beat. I swear, I can see, smell, taste the beat, man.
Geez, I need to take my pills. I keep 'forgetting'. The only problem is that they keep me up all night and I ain't never gettin' any sleep.
And this certain black man needs his sleep. |
